CROSS CULTURAL AD FOR OREO COOKIES

The idea was to use the cookie as the moon and treat it how people in different countries do during their festivals.

In india during karva chauth how the women fast from sunrise to moonrise for the safety and longevity of their husbands and break their fasts only after a glance of the moon.

In china during the mid autumn festival where they eat mooncakes and gaze at the moon. They place a basin of clear water in the courtyard to reflect an image of the moon, and then beat the water surface with branches.

Pakistan, The islamic calender is based on the lunar cycle. In the beginning of each month is determined when the new moon is seen. Eid is seen as a time of beginning, and so the cresent moon carries with it the innocent pleasure of a fresh start.
